CASE STUDY

A customer was awarded a purchase order for 6mm pcs of the part pictured below. After the initial sample run was completed, it was determined that the initial cycle time estimate was too low. The typical response would be to purchase additional machinery to meet delivery requirements. Unfortunately, the capital investment for this application would not have an acceptable payback. Enter L&M Machining. L&M ‘s quote was below the customers internal cost estimate. L&M is capable of processing up to 40m parts per shift. As a result, customer was able to reduce their WIP significantly.

The net result our customer has a profitable part and has successfully satisfied their customer.
